Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| AC won't turn on | Power issue, tripped circuit breaker, faulty outlet | Check power cord connection, reset circuit breaker, test outlet with another device |
| Poor cooling performance | Dirty filter, blocked vents, room too large for unit capacity | Clean air filter, ensure proper ventilation around unit, verify room size matches BTU rating |
| Water leaking | Clogged drain, improper installation tilt, full condensate tank (portable) | Clear drain channels, ensure proper slope, empty water tank on portable units |
| Unusual noises | Loose parts, debris in fan, compressor issues | Tighten all screws and panels, clear fan area of obstructions, contact service if noise persists |
| Unit cycles on/off frequently | Dirty filter, thermostat placement, extreme outdoor temperatures | Clean filter, relocate thermostat away from direct cool air, provide shade for window units |
| Remote control not working | Dead batteries, signal obstruction, distance too far | Replace batteries, ensure clear line of sight, operate within 20 feet range |
