Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench set
  • Torque wrench
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pipe thread sealant
  • Level
  • Air pressure gauge

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Site Preparation: Select a well-ventilated location with solid, level concrete foundation. Ensure adequate clearance for maintenance access.
  2. Uncrating and Inspection: Remove all shipping materials and inspect for damage. Check all components against packing list.
  3. Foundation Mounting: Anchor compressor to foundation using appropriate vibration isolation mounts and anchor bolts.
  4. Electrical Connection: Connect to appropriate power supply (see specifications). All electrical work must comply with local codes.
  5. Air System Connection: Install air lines using proper pipe sizing. Include shut-off valves, drains, and pressure regulators as needed.
  6. Oil and Coolant Check: Verify proper oil level and coolant system integrity before initial startup.
  7. Initial Startup Procedure: Follow startup checklist in manual. Check for leaks and monitor pressure build-up.
Warning: Installation must be performed by qualified personnel. Improper installation can cause equipment failure and void warranty.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, emergency stop engaged, control fault Check power supply, reset emergency stop, check control panel for faults
Low air pressure Air leak, intake filter clogged, compressor wear Check for leaks, clean/replace intake filter, inspect compressor elements
High operating temperature Cooling system issue, ambient temperature high, oil level low Clean cooler, ensure adequate ventilation, check oil level and quality
Excessive vibration Foundation issues, mounting bolts loose, component wear Check foundation, tighten mounting bolts, inspect rotating components
Oil consumption high Oil leaks, separator element failure, operating conditions Check for leaks, replace separator element, verify proper operating parameters
Unusual noises Bearing wear, loose components, foreign objects Inspect bearings, tighten all fasteners, check for foreign material

Error Codes

  • E01: High temperature - Check cooling system and oil level
  • E02: High pressure - Check pressure switch and relief valve
  • E03: Motor overload - Check electrical connections and load
  • E04: Low oil pressure - Check oil level and pressure switch
  • E05: Phase loss - Check power supply and connections
  • E06: Sensor fault - Check temperature and pressure sensors
