Service Manual & Maintenance Guide

185 CFM Rotary Screw Compressor

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Torque wrench set
  • Level
  • Socket set (metric and standard)
  • Multimeter
  • Air pressure gauge
  • Hoist or forklift (for positioning)

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Site Preparation: Select a clean, dry, well-ventilated location with adequate space for maintenance access and proper airflow.
  2. Foundation Requirements: Ensure a solid, level concrete foundation capable of supporting the compressor's weight (approximately 1200 kg).
  3. Uncrating and Positioning: Carefully remove all shipping materials and position the compressor using appropriate lifting equipment.
  4. Electrical Connection: Connect to appropriate power supply (see specifications). All electrical work must comply with local codes and be performed by a qualified electrician.
  5. Air System Connection: Install proper air piping with minimum restrictions. Include isolation valve, check valve, and pressure relief valve in the discharge line.
  6. Cooling System Setup: Ensure adequate ventilation for air-cooled models or connect water cooling system as required.
  7. Oil System Check: Verify proper oil level and ensure all oil lines are properly connected and free of leaks.
  8. Initial Startup Procedure: Perform pre-start checks, then follow the step-by-step startup procedure outlined in Section 3 of this manual.
Warning: Installation must be performed by qualified personnel. Improper installation can cause equipment damage, personal injury, or void warranty coverage.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, emergency stop engaged, control fault Check power supply, reset emergency stop, check control panel for faults
Low air pressure Air leak, intake filter clogged, compressor unloading Check for air leaks, clean/replace intake filter, check unloading mechanism
High operating temperature Cooling system issue, low oil level, dirty cooler Check cooling fan/water flow, check oil level, clean cooler fins
Excessive vibration Foundation issues, mounting bolts loose, bearing wear Check foundation and level, tighten mounting bolts, check bearings
Oil leaks Seal failure, loose fittings, gasket failure Identify leak source, tighten fittings, replace seals/gaskets as needed
High energy consumption Air leaks, incorrect pressure settings, mechanical issues Check for system leaks, adjust pressure settings, check mechanical condition

Error Codes

  • E01: High Temperature - Check cooling system and oil level
  • E02: High Pressure - Check pressure switch and relief valve
  • E03: Motor Overload - Check electrical connections and load
  • E04: Low Oil Pressure - Check oil level and oil pump
  • E05: Phase Loss - Check power supply and connections
  • E06: Sensor Fault - Check temperature/pressure sensors
  • E07: Communication Error - Check control wiring
  • E08: Maintenance Required - Service interval reached
