Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Torque wrench set
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pipe wrenches
  • Electrical multimeter
  • Hoist or forklift

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Site Preparation: Select a location with proper ventilation, solid concrete foundation, and adequate clearance for maintenance access.
  2. Foundation Requirements: Ensure minimum 6-inch reinforced concrete foundation capable of supporting 4500 kg.
  3. Uncrating and Positioning: Remove all shipping materials and position compressor using appropriate lifting equipment.
  4. Electrical Connection: Connect to dedicated 480V, 3-phase, 60Hz power supply with proper circuit protection. All connections must be made by licensed electrician.
  5. Air System Connection: Install proper air piping with minimum 3-inch diameter, including aftercooler, moisture separator, and receiver tank.
  6. Cooling System Setup: Connect to adequate cooling water supply or install air-cooled system as specified.
  7. Ventilation Requirements: Ensure minimum 1000 CFM ventilation for proper heat dissipation.
  8. Initial Startup Procedure: Perform pre-start checks, lubricate as required, and follow initial run-in procedure.
Warning: Installation must be performed by qualified personnel following all local codes and regulations. Failure to properly install may void warranty and create safety hazards.

Operating Modes

Load/Unload

Traditional control mode for constant speed operation with automatic unloading during low demand

Variable Speed

Adjusts motor speed to match air demand precisely, maximizing energy efficiency

Dual Control

Combines load/unload and variable speed for optimal performance across varying demand patterns

Network Control

Multiple compressors work together in a coordinated system for large industrial applications

Standby Mode

Reduces energy consumption during periods of no demand while maintaining readiness

Maintenance Mode

Special operating mode for service procedures and system testing

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, safety interlock, controller fault Check power supply, verify safety switches, reset controller
Low air pressure Air leaks, clogged filters, worn elements Check for leaks, replace filters, inspect screw elements
High operating temperature Cooling system issue, dirty cooler, low oil Check coolant flow, clean cooler, verify oil level
Excessive vibration Misalignment, worn bearings, loose mounts Check alignment, inspect bearings, tighten mounts
High energy consumption Dirty filters, air leaks, incorrect pressure settings Clean/replace filters, fix leaks, adjust pressure settings
Oil in air system Worn separator, overfilled oil, failed check valve Replace separator, adjust oil level, check valves
Controller alarms Sensor faults, system faults, maintenance required Check sensor readings, review fault log, perform maintenance

Common Error Codes

  • E01: High temperature shutdown - Check cooling system
  • E02: High pressure shutdown - Verify pressure settings
  • E03: Motor overload - Check electrical connections
  • E04: Low oil pressure - Verify oil level and pump
  • E05: Phase loss or imbalance - Check power supply
  • E06: Sensor fault - Check temperature/pressure sensors
  • E07: Communication error - Check controller connections
  • E08: Maintenance required - Perform scheduled maintenance
