Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Torque wrench set
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pipe wrench
  • Tape measure
  • Air pressure gauge

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Site: Choose a well-ventilated area with solid, level concrete foundation and adequate clearance for maintenance access.
  2. Prepare Foundation: Ensure foundation can support compressor weight (approximately 1200 kg) and is vibration-isolated if required.
  3. Position Compressor: Carefully position compressor unit using appropriate lifting equipment, ensuring proper alignment.
  4. Connect Power Supply: Connect to appropriate 3-phase power supply (see specifications) using proper gauge wiring and circuit protection.
  5. Install Air Lines: Connect main air discharge line using proper pipe sizing and support brackets. Include isolation valve.
  6. Connect Cooling System: Install water cooling lines if applicable, ensuring proper flow rate and pressure requirements.
  7. Install Air Receiver: Connect and secure air receiver tank according to local pressure vessel regulations.
  8. Initial Startup: Perform pre-startup checks, fill with recommended lubricant, and conduct initial test run.
Warning: Installation must be performed by qualified personnel following all local codes and regulations. Proper lifting equipment must be used due to unit weight.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, emergency stop engaged, control fault Check power supply, reset emergency stop, check control panel for faults
Low air pressure Air leaks, clogged filter, worn air end Check for system leaks, replace air filter, inspect air end components
High operating temperature Dirty cooler, low oil level, ambient temperature high Clean cooler fins, check oil level, improve ventilation
Excessive vibration Foundation issues, loose mounting, bearing wear Check foundation bolts, inspect mounts, check bearings
Oil consumption high Oil leaks, worn seals, improper oil type Check for leaks, inspect seals, use recommended oil
Unusual noises Loose components, bearing failure, foreign objects Check all fasteners, inspect bearings, check for debris

Error Codes

  • E01: High temperature shutdown - Check cooling system and oil level
  • E02: Low oil pressure - Check oil level and pressure switch
  • E03: Motor overload - Check electrical connections and load
  • E04: Phase loss - Check power supply and connections
  • E05: Sensor failure - Check temperature/pressure sensors
  • E06: Communication error - Check control wiring and connections
