Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench set
  • Torque wrench
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pipe thread sealant
  • Level
  • Pressure gauge

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Site Preparation: Select a clean, dry, well-ventilated location with adequate space for maintenance access and proper airflow.
  2. Foundation Requirements: Ensure a solid, level concrete foundation capable of supporting the compressor's weight and vibration.
  3. Uncrating and Positioning: Remove all shipping materials and position the compressor using appropriate lifting equipment.
  4. Electrical Connection: Connect to appropriate power supply per local electrical codes. Ensure proper grounding and circuit protection.
  5. Air System Connection: Install air lines using proper pipe sizing. Include shut-off valves, drains, and pressure relief devices.
  6. Cooling and Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation for cooling air intake and exhaust. Maintain clearances as specified.
  7. Oil and Fluid Check: Verify proper oil level and type before initial startup.
  8. Initial Startup and Testing: Perform pre-start checks, then run through complete operational test sequence.
Warning: Installation must be performed by qualified personnel following all local codes and regulations. Improper installation can cause equipment damage or personal injury.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, safety switch tripped, control fault Check power supply, reset safety switches, check control system
Low air pressure Air leaks, clogged filters, worn components Check for leaks, replace filters, inspect air end
High operating temperature Dirty cooler, low oil level, ambient temperature Clean cooler, check oil level, improve ventilation
Excessive vibration Foundation issues, loose components, bearing wear Check foundation, tighten mounts, inspect bearings
Oil leaks Seal failure, loose fittings, gasket issues Inspect seals, tighten fittings, replace gaskets
Unusual noises Bearing wear, foreign objects, misalignment Inspect bearings, check for debris, verify alignment

Error Codes

  • E01: High temperature - Check cooling system and oil level
