Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Torque wrench set
  • Air pressure gauge
  • Socket set (metric/standard)
  • Level
  • Pipe thread sealant
  • Compressor oil

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Site Preparation: Select a clean, dry, well-ventilated location with adequate space for maintenance access and proper airflow.
  2. Foundation Requirements: Ensure concrete foundation meets minimum thickness requirements (6 inches minimum) and is perfectly level.
  3. Uncrating and Positioning: Remove all shipping materials and position compressor using appropriate lifting equipment.
  4. Electrical Connection: Connect to proper power supply per local electrical codes. Verify voltage and phase requirements.
  5. Air System Connection: Install proper air lines with minimum pressure drop. Include shut-off valves and drain legs.
  6. Oil System Check: Verify proper oil level and fill with recommended compressor oil if necessary.
  7. Initial Startup: Perform pre-start checklist, then initiate first run while monitoring all systems.
Warning: Installation must be performed by qualified personnel following all local codes and regulations. Improper installation voids warranty.

Maintenance Guide

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, safety switch tripped, controller fault Check power supply, reset safety switches, check controller diagnostics
High operating temperature Dirty cooler, low oil level, faulty thermostatic valve Clean coolers, check oil level, replace thermostatic valve
Low air pressure Air leaks, worn air end, faulty pressure valve Check for leaks, inspect air end, test pressure valve
Excessive oil carryover Worn separator, overfilled oil, high oil temperature Replace separator element, check oil level, verify cooling
Unusual noises Worn bearings, loose components, cavitation Inspect bearings, tighten components, check suction conditions
High vibration Misalignment, worn couplings, unbalanced rotor Check alignment, inspect couplings, balance rotor assembly

Maintenance Schedule

  • Daily: Check oil level, drain condensate, inspect for leaks
  • Weekly: Clean air intake, check belt tension, verify pressures
  • Monthly: Test safety valves, clean coolers, check alignment
  • Quarterly: Change oil, replace filters, inspect electrical connections
  • Annually: Complete overhaul, bearing inspection, performance test
  • 8000 Hours: Major service including air end inspection
