Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Teflon tape
  • Air hose

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a clean, dry, well-ventilated area with adequate clearance for maintenance and operation.
  2. Unpack and Inspect: Remove all packaging materials and inspect for shipping damage. Check all components against the parts list.
  3. Position the Compressor: Place on a solid, level surface that can support the weight of the compressor when full.
  4. Oil Check: Check oil level in the pump. Add compressor oil if necessary to reach the proper level on the sight glass.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect to a properly grounded 120V, 15A, dedicated circuit. Use appropriate gauge extension cord if needed.
  6. Air System Setup: Connect air hose to the outlet using Teflon tape on threads. Install air filter if provided.
  7. Initial Test Run: Run the compressor without load for 10 minutes to break in the pump. Check for leaks and proper pressure buildup.
Warning: Installation must be performed by qualified personnel. Ensure proper ventilation to prevent carbon monoxide buildup from gas-powered models.

Key Features

Oil-Lubricated Pump

Durable oil-lubricated pump design provides longer life, cooler operation, and quieter performance compared to oil-free models.

ASME Certified Tank

20-gallon ASME certified tank with corrosion-resistant coating ensures safety and durability for long-term use.

Thermal Overload Protection

Built-in thermal overload protection automatically shuts off the motor if it overheats, preventing damage and ensuring safety.

Dual Pressure Gauges

Two gauges display both tank pressure and output pressure, allowing for precise control of air tools and equipment.

Quick-Connect Coupler

Industrial-style quick-connect coupler allows for easy attachment and removal of air tools without tools.

Low Oil Shutoff

Automatic shutoff system protects the pump when oil levels drop below safe operating levels.

Recommended Applications

Air Tools

Ideal for impact wrenches, ratchets, drills, and sanders

Spray Painting

Sufficient CFM for HVLP spray guns and detail work

Tire Inflation

Quick inflation for car, truck, and motorcycle tires

Cleaning

Powerful air for cleaning tools, equipment, and work areas

Nailing/Stapling

Consistent pressure for framing and finish nailers

HVAC Work

Adequate for refrigerant charging and system testing

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor won't start Power issue, pressure switch fault, thermal overload Check power supply, reset thermal overload, check pressure switch
Low pressure output Leaks, worn piston rings, clogged intake filter Check for leaks, clean/replace intake filter, inspect piston rings
Excessive noise/vibration Loose components, worn bearings, improper mounting Tighten all fasteners, check motor bearings, ensure proper mounting
Oil in air lines Overfilled oil, worn piston rings, faulty separator Check oil level, replace piston rings if needed, check separator
Motor overheats Low voltage, restricted ventilation, excessive cycling Check voltage, ensure proper ventilation, reduce duty cycle
Slow pressure buildup Worn valves, leaking check valve, intake restriction Inspect valves, check check valve, clean intake filter

Maintenance Schedule

  • Daily: Drain moisture from tank, check oil level
  • Weekly: Check for leaks, clean intake filter
  • Monthly: Inspect belts (if equipped), check valve operation
  • Every 3 Months: Change oil, inspect piston and rings
  • Annually: Replace air filter, safety valve test
  • Every 2 Years: Replace pressure switch if needed
