Step-by-Step Installation
- Choose Installation Location: Select a window that can support the unit's weight and is near an electrical outlet. Ensure proper clearance around the unit.
- Prepare the Window: Clean the window area and remove any obstructions. Measure the window opening to ensure proper fit.
- Install Support Brackets: Secure the mounting brackets to the window sill according to manufacturer specifications.
- Place the AC Unit: Carefully lift the air conditioner and place it on the support brackets, ensuring it's centered in the window.
- Extend Side Panels: Extend the side panels to fill the window opening gaps and secure them in place.
- Seal the Unit: Use weather stripping or foam insulation to seal gaps between the unit and window frame to prevent air leaks.
- Electrical Connection: Plug into a dedicated 120V, 15-20 amp grounded outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.
- Test Operation: Turn on the unit and test all functions including cooling, fan speeds, and thermostat settings.
